Ambassador Limasene Teatu Visits Council of Indigenous People, Republic of China (Taiwan)/涂莉梅大使拜會原民會夷將●拔路兒主任委員 / by Minute Taupo

In the afternoon of 15th August, 2018, H.E. Ambassador Limasene Teatu paid a courtesy call to Hon. Icyang Parod, Minister of Council of Indigenous People, Republic of China (Taiwan).

H.E. Ambassador Limasene Teatu on behalf of Hon. Namoliki Sualiki Neemia, Minister of Home Affairs and Rural Development presented the Tuvaluan handicrafts to appreciate the friendship between Tuvalu and Taiwan as well as the warm hospitality from CIP during the Austronesian Forum.

In the meeting, Hon. Minister Icyang Parod emphasized the strong connection among Austronesian people, sharing memories of maritime history and cultures. He also recalled the good time spending in Tuvalu with Republic of China (Taiwan) President Tsai and her delegation in 2017. Following Austronesian Forum, CIP is initiating series exchanges programs to expand the linkage among Taiwanese indigenous people and Austronesian people in the world.
